Bike AOA IMBA Dig In Project

IMBA Dig In Grant funded by Shimano

AOA has been award a $1000 matching grant for phase 1 of the Dillon Skills park. With these funds, plus a previous donation from Ragnar Racing, were have completed phase 1 and began phase 2!

Our goal – To provide an accessible, predictable practice area for novice riders to build their technical riding skills. The skills park will be a place for both instructor- led and casual skill building sessions so riders can competently navigate the 35+ miles of AOA maintained MTB trails.

So far, the skills park has 4 skills lines plus a skinnies practice area and other optional features adjacent to the lines.

  • Jump line
  • Drops line
  • Rock garden with 3 options
  • Switchbacks
  • Permanent signage including an entrance archway
  • Updated park and skill area maps

Next up, we plan to add a novice jump/ pump line, a pump track line, more skinnies, at least one larger drop, and eventually a bigger jump line.

We hope you enjoy the skills park and use our Donate button to help fund phases 2 and 3!
