The Straker Foundation is supporting maintenance, enhancements, and improved signage for AOA trails in Muskingum County.

Appalachian Outdoor Adventures (AOA), a Muskingum County non-profit, maintains five mountain bike trail systems in the County; the trails cover about 50 miles. AOA is a member organization of the Ohio Mountain Bike Association and the International Mountain Biking Association. They are “dedicated to providing, maintaining, and promoting access to trails for outdoor recreation in east central Ohio.”

AOA hosts a variety of community bike-riding experiences throughout the year; they also host events and competitions, which bring visitors to the County. They maintain trails at the Wilds, McGraw Park, and Dillon State Park.

Susan Holdren and Pam Kirst visited the Dillon trails recently; AOA president Susie Cherubini showed them several of the trails and a kiosk that introduces the trails to visitors. They also saw the skills training area where AOA volunteers train new bikers.

The Foundation is supporting maintenance, enhancements, and improved signage for AOA trails in Muskingum County.
